Ladies fundamentally operate almost entirely differently than men in their business and personal lives. They are almost always able to juggle work and home life in what seems to be seamless to the naked eye. They take care of the bills, their children, pets, homes, partners without "breaking down." Lady Sales Coach understands this careful "plate spinning balance" as she is a mother of three young children and a wife to a successful sales career driven husband.
Keeping all of it a float requires both art and science skills that most do not recognize when having a "career sales role.". Focusing on exceeding expectations as a player, a team, and person in the community these days is difficult with all the known distractions in our environments. This has only been magnified by the Pandemic we've been through over the past two years and the recovery we are all going through now to get back to normal.
Having a career sales position requires more focus at times than a brain surgeon. Unlike a brain surgeon, which has a direct impact on the one person being operated on, the impact of one bad sales move has a downstream affect to multiple people including the customer(s), companies, internal and external teams, your personal credibility, and ultimately a salesperson and their families bottom line. Choosing to have a career in sales can be as great as getting a new house or as bad as having to sleep on your parent's couch.
Salespeople have the potential to make great money, but also have the potential for the opposite to be true. This is why having someone that has your back and can listen objectively has never been more important to being in sales. It's your most important investment in you.
Did you know that to be considered a top producer within an organization these days, 100% achievement is NOT enough, or quite frankly even 105%, 110%, or 120%. To be a top producer, you likely will need to show that you are a 150% or above player. A chosen mentor should provide you with clarity, focus tips, and the understanding that stretch goals are the new "quota." These stretch goals should force you to "see your best self" allowing you to rise above.
